Star ❤️

I took some images of Star a few weeks ago. She was our foster before the two we have now.
Star passed away this past week from an underlying condition while at a training facility. I’ve been crying off and on a bit since then. She was a sweet, smart dog. My husband wanted to adopt her but she was already promised to a family in Virginia. I’m thankful she wasn’t at our home or their’s when it happened. They did everything they could to save her. :(

I Still Art

Despite the greyhound fostering being a distraction from my art, I managed to drop off a piece for the Safety Harbor Museum & Cultural Center today! They're having the reception for "For The Love of Safety Harbor" on Friday, July 19th from 7-9 p.m. There will be art for sale, vendors, and a silent auction to benefit the museum. The exhibit will be on view until August 19th. :)

Post Best Damn Race Leftovers

I don't know if the best part of this picture is the sweet fur baby, the fact that I'm still alive after that heat, or my neighbor's painted finger. Hahaha

p.s. I promise to upload some new work soon. This has been a busy weekend already! :)
I entered a photo contest coming up. Wish me luck! I’ll give more details soon! Wish me luck!

Derby Lane

Went to Derby Lane today for the first time to witness how crazy fast the greyhounds are, become a little better educated about their past, and fall in love a few dozen times.
I didn't have a pass to use my camera so pretend these are good quality....Haha
This is not a discussion on racing. I don't know if anyone cares more about these dogs than this trainer does.
